I purchased licenses for WordPress themes and various add-ons from Envato and I have been a customer for nearly 6 years. Today, I went to purchase an upgrade for a license and my account was locked. I was provided with a notice to contact support to have my account re-activated.
Support response was prompt, but unsatisfactory.
“Hi there, Regrettably, after further review, we’re using our discretion and will not be re-enabling your account. Please note, your most recent order has been voided by our payment system, so no funds have been taken from your account.
Regards,Gustavo”
I inquired as to the reason for the account being disabled and only received this message.
“Thank you for your recent email to Envato, we appreciate you reaching out to us. Unfortunately like all companies we have a number of internal policies in place which, for business reasons we do not divulge. After reviewing your application for service, we are unfortunately unable to re-enable your account.”
Avoid Envato at all costs!
